Data Locality:
If cloud features are not required, all LiquidText data is located on the Client Device only, no data is stored outside the Device. If Cloud features are used, LiquidText Enterprise, permits assignment of Cloud Storage and Servers to the Organization’s preferred locale. LiquidText uses Microsoft’s Azure as its Cloud services provider.
On Premises Server:
For organizations who want to keep all network activity and data in-house, we offer an on premises implementation of LiquidText’s Back End server allowing all Networking functions to operate inside your secure environment.
Security & Privacy ISO27001:
LiquidText Enterprise Edition supports robust password based file encryption. Passwords are in the custody and control of the client organization and not known to LiquidText or its providers. LiquidText is GDPR compliant. LiquidText is ISO27001-2022 Certified.
Manageability:
LiquidText Enterprise Edition includes a management console permitting management, allocation and acquisition of licenses. LiquidText supports InTune and other enterprise asset management tools. Single sign on and Active Directory support is included.
Support:
Support includes dedicated email channel, slack integration, private client community forum, live on boarding and master class webinars. All Business subscriptions include ongoing updates to all supported clients.
Integration:
Enterprise Edition deployments may include integration with clients’ document management (iManage and others) and security systems. Additional cost may be required.

LiquidText evolved from: four years of research, two peer reviewed papers, and a PhD from Georgia Tech, by its founder Craig Tashman. The research focused on “active reading” where users highlight, annotate, search and take notes when working on a project. Key was understanding the limitations imposed by physical books and paper; and the opportunities created by powerful, mobile and desktop devices.

Every project in LiquidText creates a document pane and multiple infinite workspaces. The document pane imports and contains all relevant documents, including live user annotations, highlights and connections. Notes, ideas, excerpts, images and connections are written, typed and/or placed on the workspace.
LiquidText makes gathering notes and excerpts frictionless; users do it naturally, pulling out references as they read and dropping them on the workspace. LiquidText allows the user to organize the workspace as they prefer making notes and connecting them to others in the form of a list of notes and/or as mind maps.
LiquidText uses ink in a unique way. Users can draw lines between document contents, notes, or anything in the app; between, within and among multiple documents and notes. From these connections you get visual hyperlinks which call out the connections at a touch. LiquidText helps you see these relationships along with relevant source context.

Using this tool, researcher’s ideas, observations and insights are visually linked with source materials and other related notes.
